The Citadel Bulldogs home court advantage is no accident. The Bulldogs play their homes games at McAlister Field House. McAlister Field House has a capacity of 6,000 and is one of the toughest places to play in the Southern Conference. Originally constructed in 1939 and renovated in 1989, McAlister is one of the historic Basketball gyms in the Southeast.
The Bulldogs basketball team spends their downtime in the locker room and lounge area just off the main floor. The locker room features wood lockers, custom chairs, full carpet, showers, big screen television, leather couches and other amenities. Starting in the winter of 2007 a major renovation project has begun on the locker area.
The Citadel Strength and Conditioning center provides the basketball program a state-of-the art facility to train in. Located just adjacent to McAlister Field House it is easily accessible to the athletes. Under the direction of the strength and conditioning staff the Bulldogs will remain the most physically prepared team in the Southern Conference. |
